At Children Can, our heart for all age ministry is to see the generations connect with God and with one another. We believe there is something precious about children, young people and adults sharing in worship and learning as one church family. Indeed this is God’s design for the church. We want to help churches create gatherings where everyone can engage with God’s Word. A message can speak to children at school, adults at work and older people with years of experience, bringing truth that matters to each of their lives. Our approach begins with prayer and study of Scripture. We seek to communicate biblical truth clearly, using illustrations and stories that connect with different ages while keeping God’s Word at the centre. When generations learn together, the conversation can continue afterwards in homes, families and small groups. Shared teaching gives people opportunities to reflect together and put what they have heard into practice. But it’s not just the teaching, more important is a community where every generation is willing to share with others. This also supports parents as they nurture their children’s faith. We believe families should be surrounded and encouraged by the wider church, with generations contributing to one another’s growth. Our heart is to help every age encounter God, receive encouragement and grow together, enjoying the richness of belonging to one body and following Jesus.
