At Children Can, our heart for pregnancy ministry begins with a simple belief: a baby can encounter God while still in the womb. We want to help parents recognise that nurturing their child’s spiritual life can begin before they ever hold them in their arms. ​ Every child is a precious gift from God. Whether news of a pregnancy brings excitement, anxiety or a mixture of feelings, we encourage parents to see their baby as someone loved by Him, with a future worth praying for. We love helping parents take simple steps, such as placing a hand on their bump and asking God to bless their baby and their future. These moments of prayer are a wonderful way to begin caring for a child’s spiritual wellbeing alongside their physical development. Our heart is also for the parents themselves. Through our resources and EXPECTANT forums, we offer opportunities for expectant parents, their partners and others with a heart for this ministry to connect and share together. As we seek to see God revive the next generation and reconnect the generations, ministry in the womb is part of that vision: encouraging families to welcome God into their lives and nurture faith from the very beginning.
