At Children Can, our heart for grandparents is to encourage you in the wonderful opportunity you have to help nurture faith in the next generation. Your prayers, relationships and example can make a lasting difference in the lives of your grandchildren. We want to help you share your faith naturally, lovingly and with confidence. As children grow and their interests change, there are fresh opportunities to connect with them, explore the Bible together and encourage their relationship with Jesus. We lead the National Christian Grandparents Conference each year where many grandparents meet together to share and be resourced. As part of this ministry we also support people who want to set up local grandparents groups to come together. Through resources such as The Grandparent’s Guide to Passing on Faith, we offer practical ideas for praying with and for grandchildren, choosing a suitable Bible and talking about Scripture. We also recognise the valuable contribution of spiritual grandparents who invest in children and young people around them.Prayer remains at the heart of this ministry. Hear Our Hearts encourages grandparents to pray with purpose, whether their grandchildren are young or grown, nearby or far away, following Jesus or still finding their way. Our online grandparents’ forums also provide opportunities to explore this calling together. We long to see grandparents encouraged to embrace their place in God’s family, passing on faith and leaving a spiritual legacy as the generations grow together in Him.
